Rhett & John

Rhett & John came into being in 2019. Having performed together in various capacities in pickup bands around the area, we found each other to be musically kindred spirits and opted to give playing together a go. Anyone with any sense of recent history will note the terrible timing of said decision. Having weathered a global pandemic, we came back all the stronger in the summer of 2020 and have been building momentum ever since. We passed our 500th show mark in December of 2023 and have built a catalog of covers that has long since surpassed the century mark. 

Since forming, we've performed at dozens of locations in and around Northern Michigan, becoming a crowd favorite at many local wineries, distilleries and breweries. Our setlist plays like an acoustic oldies station, though we've begun expanding more into the latter half of the 20th century and on into the present as we've grown our collection of unique cover versions of familiar favorites.

As we are both full-time musicians, you can find us playing most nights of the week, particularly in the summer months when we are at our busiest. And to answer the biggest question we always seem to get: No, we are not a couple. Just friends who enjoy each others company and have forged a fantastic working relationship that has resulted in our ability to truly do what we love for a living in an area we both love.
